I. WHEREAS, staff of Quinley Stewardship LLC (“QS”) periodically meet with people whose health is fragile;
II. WHEREAS, the consequences of contracting communicable illnesses (including, but not limited to, influenza and coronavirus) can be severe, especially for people whose health is fragile;
III. THEREFORE, QS requires that any person with a communicable illness, or experiencing symptoms that may be caused by a communicable illness, not enter or remain in QS’s office, and instead, interact with QS’s staff through other means, such as by calling (559) 334-0101.
IV. WHEREAS, to the best of its knowledge, QS follows all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to health, including, but not limited to, those that pertain to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (i.e., COVID-19);
V. WHEREAS, QS is not aware of any law or regulation that requires it to perform a health screening of any person;
VI. WHEREAS, QS is not aware of any law or regulation that requires a person who is not a member of QS’s staff to wear any type of face covering within QS’s office;
VII. THEREFORE, QS does not impose any requirement pertaining to face coverings on persons who are not members of its staff. However, QS will provide a new face covering (upon request) to anyone willing to wear it covering his/her mouth and nose while present within QS’s office. (Section XI below discusses certain requirements that pertain to QS's staff.)
VIII. WHEREAS, voluntary attestations and/or certain health screenings (such as temperature checks) may not accurately identify whether or not a person is capable of transmitting a communicable illness;
IX. WHEREAS, there is evidence that certain sanitation practices (such as thorough hand-washing with warm water and soap) can reduce the transmission of communicable illnesses;
X. WHEREAS, there is evidence that a person wearing a clean, properly-fitted face covering over his/her mouth and nose can reduce the potential for transmission of communicable illnesses residing in the respiratory tract to and/or from that person;
XI. THEREFORE, QS requires each member of its staff to follow certain sanitation and personal protective equipment practices including, but not limited to, wearing a clean, properly-fitted, QS-provided face covering over his/her mouth and nose at all times when he/she is in the same room within QS’s office with any person other than a member of his/her own household.
XII. WHEREAS, QS’s approach to its receipt or conveyance of private information is based on confidentiality considerations and need-to-know limitations;
XIII. WHEREAS, after considering all of the matters discussed above, QS is not aware of any reason that it needs to be notified of the vaccination status of any person;
XIV. THEREFORE, please do not share vaccination status information with QS’s staff members.
XV. The policies stated in sections III, VII, XI and XIV above were established after careful consideration of the matters stated above, along with (1) gratitude for the costly blessings of liberty, (2) respect for the daunting burdens of public health officials, epidemiologists, pharmaceutical companies, and health care professionals, to provide sound guidance and effective care pertaining to communicable illnesses, and (3) how QS’s requirement stated in section III may be violated.
XVI. The information stated in this Health Notice may be amended at any time by posting the amended terms on the Health Notice page of QS’s website. You will be alerted about any such change by updates to this Health Notice’s “last modified” date above.
